Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies such as local storage are small pieces of data a website saves in your browser. They let a site remember your choices between visits.
2. What we use
OpusGate uses strictly necessary browser storage to remember preferences you set yourself, which does not require consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). With your consent, we also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to enquiries. These cookies are only set after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, and Google processes the data as described in its privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
3. Storage on this site
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| site-theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the light, dark or system theme. | Until you clear it |
| cookie-consent | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies. | Until you clear it |
| _ga, _ga_* | Cookie (Google Analytics) | Counts visits and shows which pages are used, so we can improve the site. Only set if you accept. | 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Cookie (Google Ads) | Tells us when a visit from one of our Google ads leads to an enquiry. Only set if you accept. | 90 days |
4. Contact form
When you submit our contact form, the details you enter are sent to us and stored in our CRM so we can reply. No cookie is set in the process. See our Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.
5. Managing storage
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, and delete stored data through your browser's settings (usually under Privacy → Cookies and site data). Rejecting optional cookies does not affect how the site works.
6. Changes
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again where needed.
